“VORTEX RIG” – a Complete Parachute Rig

A complete falconry training parachute release setup for falcon training. Designed for drones (quadcopters) with landing skids that have the same or a similar design as the DJI Phantom. Due to its unique design, the parachute container line will not interfere with the drone camera, and it gives the perfect opportunity to record your training session.   VORTEX-Rig comes fully rigged up and ready to attach to the drone with a mechanical releaser that can be adjusted to work with a variety of different weight lures.

THE VORTEX RING DECELERATOR PARACHUTE system has been designed to provide additional visual effects for falconry display flights. It’s a more complex rigging and requires precise parachute packing to prevent any failure when deployed, but in return gives an attractive visual effect.

Please Note: Due to variations in raw material stock and the manufacturing process, the final part color may vary slightly from the images shown. Parachute canopy lines, rig lines, and all plastic parts might be in completely diferent color than shown in images.

VORTEX-Rigging specifications:

Parachute line – soft polyester 5mm cord, approximately 5 ft ( ∓ 1.50m) in length.

Container line – high-strength PP polypropylene 4mm cord, approximately 11.5 ft ( ∓ 3.50m) in length.

The thermoplastic polyurethane parachute container is lightweight and can absorb impact. Weight is about 16 grams and measures 180mm in height.

V-shaped landing skid attachment keeps the rig attached to a drone and away from the camera.

The adjustable releaser can be micro-adjusted for clip tension by turning the barrel. Made from black or red ABS plastic. Prevents premature release and allows the use of different weighted lures.

Lightweight and strong rip-stop nylon (non-PU coated) manufactured using a specially created nylon yarn, giving it good tare strength. Which is why it is used for manufacturing parachutes.

High-quality OEKO-TEX Standard polyester ribbon parachute canopy lines.

Our designed parachute line splitter keeps parachute canopy lines away from each other to prevent any twists.

High-quality ball bearing swivels loaded with high-class stainless steel balls provide maximum protection against twisted and tangled lines. Solid welding ring at each end.

The parachute line has a short cord with a button toggle lock to secure a piece of meat or a leather lure of your choice.

A plastic storage box to keep the parachute away when not in use. Bright colors significantly increase visibility and aid in recovery efforts if lost in the field.
