The “LIGHT” Falconry Parachute & Release Rig

 LIGHT–Rig can be rigged with 3 different parachute designs,  depending on your choice:

APEX

Hand-made from the ground up with advanced raptor training in mind, the APEX stands as the highest-performance parachute in our entire lineup. It delivers an incredible amount of aerodynamic drag compared to traditional round canopy designs, which means you can use a physically smaller parachute to achieve the exact same fitness results for your bird. At the core of this advanced training tool is a unique pull-down apex design equipped with an adjustable ring. This system gives you full, precise control over the canopy’s shape, allowing you to fine-tune its geometry to achieve maximum performance in different weather conditions. Because this is a high-performance system capable of generating massive air resistance, it is designed for experienced falconers and requires a basic understanding of aerodynamics to truly unlock its full potential in the field. VENT

What sets this design apart is its specialized apex vent hole, which intentionally limits peak efficiency to provide unmatched aerodynamic stability. By allowing a controlled stream of air to pass smoothly through the center of the canopy, the VENT eliminates oscillation and wobble, making it the absolute perfect choice for training in highly turbulent or unpredictable weather conditions. ROUND  

Based on the traditional “round” design that has successfully trained raptors for decades, this canopy balances simplicity with modern engineering. We manufacture it using a specialized, lightweight, non-PU-coated rip-stop nylon yarn that gives the fabric superb tear resistance in the field. To ensure maximum air resistance, a high-number line system forces the canopy into a perfect 3D aerodynamic shape upon inflation. Because it lacks a center apex control line, it produces significantly less intense pulling power than our high-performance models, making it highly predictable. Best of all, we’ve integrated our proprietary anti-twist system to stop line tangles before they happen, giving you a reliable, tangle-free deployment on every single flight. ROUND parachute is available in twelve sizes:

Larger parachute models  26inch 28inch 30inch has slightly different parachute canopy loading line configurations.  “Y” shaped triple lines increase the number of lines at the top and double the gores in the canopy. A higher number of lines helps create a more perfect, inflated 3D canopy shape, resulting in maximum air resistance (drag) and a slower descent. 

PARACHUTE SIZES ARE PROVIDED WITH FLAT LAY MEASUREMENTS. We lay the parachute on the counter and measure from one side of the ripstop nylon to the other. The measurements will be completely different when the parachute is inflated.

Please Note: Due to variations in raw material stock and the manufacturing process, the final part color may vary slightly from the images shown. Parachute canopy lines, rig lines, and all plastic parts might be in completely different colors than shown in images.

LIGHT-Rigging specifications:

Parachute line – soft polyester 5mm cord, approximately 5 ft (1.50 m) in length.

Container line – high-strength PP polypropylene 4mm cord, approximately 11.5 ft (3.50 m) in length.

The thermoplastic polyurethane parachute container is lightweight and can absorb impact. Weighs 30g, 22g, 19g, or 15g, depending on the chosen rig size, and measures 115mm in height.

Strong 10mm Velcro straps to attach the parachute container line to the drone. Compatible with a variety of different-make drones.

The adjustable releaser can be micro-adjusted for clip tension by turning the barrel. Made from black or red ABS plastic. Prevents premature release and allows the use of different weighted lures.

Lightweight and strong rip-stop nylon (non-PU coated) manufactured using a specially created nylon yarn, giving it good tear strength. This is why it is used for manufacturing parachutes.

High-quality,   durable, knotless-looping, coated, water-resistant parachute canopy lines. A high number of lines to ensure a perfect 3D canopy shape when inflated for maximum caught air and maximum drag.

Our designed parachute line splitter keeps parachute canopy lines away from each other to prevent any twists.

High-quality ball-bearing swivels loaded with high-class stainless steel balls provide maximum protection against twisted and tangled lines. Solid welding ring at each end.

The parachute line has a short cord with a button toggle lock to secure a piece of meat or a leather lure of your choice.

A plastic storage box to keep the parachute away when not in use. Bright colors significantly increase visibility and aid in recovery efforts if lost in the field.
