Magnetic Parachute Release Rig for RC Planes
The RC Plane Parachute Release Rig offers a seamless, reliable way to simulate high-speed pursuits while keeping your bird safe. Radio-controlled (RC) planes are an exceptional tool for trailing a lure, which attaches securely to the underside of the wing using a specialized magnet system. The lure incorporates an integrated hi-start parachute so that the moment your falcon strikes and detaches it, the canopy instantly deploys to create immediate aerodynamic drag. This controlled braking action prevents the falcon from flying too far with her prey, ensuring she brings the lure straight down to the ground. By keeping your bird safely within your designated training radius, this rig guarantees quick, effortless field retrieval.
Arriving completely pre-assembled and ready to install, this setup allows you to mount the system to your RC plane wing right out of the box. The rig features a traditional, round-shaped canopy parachute, which remains the most common and trusted design used in falconry training for decades. We construct each canopy from an ultra-lightweight, high-strength, non-PU-coated rip-stop nylon woven from a specially created yarn that provides excellent tear strength against rugged field use. By lowering the line number, we successfully manage to decrease the drag created by the towing rig while it is attached to the aircraft. This reduction in drag results in significantly better RC plane control, improved battery efficiency, and much cleaner flight aerodynamics while climbing to altitude. Best of all, our proprietary anti-twist system actively keeps the remaining canopy lines separated from one another, preventing frustrating twists and tangles during release to deliver a simple, reliable training tool you can trust for years to come.

PARACHUTE SIZES ARE PROVIDED WITH FLAT LAY MEASUREMENTS. We lay the parachute on the counter and measure from one side of the ripstop nylon to the other. The measurements will be completely different when the parachute is inflated.

Magnetic Release Rig– parachute specifications:
Lightweight and strong rip-stop nylon (non-PU coated) manufactured using a specially created nylon yarn, giving it good tear strength. This is why it is used for manufacturing parachutes.
14 feet (about 4,5 meters) 2mm round polypropylene braided cord. Available with a long line for introducing falcons to the plane or shorter for more experienced birds. Please contact us if you need a different line length than listed.
Classic round-shaped parachute canopy to reduce drag. Several different sizes of parachute canopies to choose from; 12inch 14inch 16inch and 18-inch. Several colors to choose from: white, orange, or army green.
The thermoplastic polyurethane magnet pad is lightweight and can absorb impact. Weighs about 14 grams without a magnet and measures 80mm x 95mm.
Super strong magnet made from neodymium-iron-boron alloy (NdFeB) with nickel coating (Ni-Cu-Ni). Magnetized axially and has a maximum operating temperature of 80 degrees Celsius.
High-quality, durable, knotless-looping, coated, water-resistant parachute canopy lines. A high number of lines to ensure a perfect 3D canopy shape when inflated for maximum caught air and maximum drag.
Our designed parachute line splitter keeps parachute canopy lines away from each other to prevent any twists.
High-quality ball-bearing swivels loaded with high-class stainless steel balls provide maximum protection against twisted and tangled lines. Solid welding ring at each end.
The parachute line has a short cord with a button toggle lock to secure a piece of meat or a leather lure of your choice.
A plastic storage box to keep the parachute away when not in use. Bright colors significantly increase visibility and aid in recovery efforts if lost in the field.
